The wine fair "Wine vision by Open Balkan" will be presented at the world's largest wine fair Vinitaly in Verona from the 2nd to the 5th of April in front of more than 25,000 buyers from all over the world, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia ( CCIS) Marko Čadež announced today.

CCIS will organize an Open Balkan stand at the Verona Fair, where more than 200 labels of the best wines from Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania will be presented. Out of the total number, 90 labels are from Serbia coming from 41 wineries. The wines at the Open Balkan stand will be presented by the top sommeliers of the three countries, and a masterclass will be organized where the autochthonous varieties of the Balkan will be presented.

Čadež reminded that six months ago the chamber launched an initiative to present the largest regional wine fair - "Wine Vision by Open Balkan" at the prestigious Vinitaly fair, thus enabling our winemakers with new job opportunities. Hopes are that the buyers from the fair in Verona will also visit Belgrade, which will host the regional wine fair from November 16th to 19th, and where they will be able to taste the best wines from Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania.

The President of  CCIS thanked the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the Prime Ministers of North Macedonia and Albania, who supported the initiative for the organization of the first wine fair "Wine Vision by Open Balkans" last year.

This year at Vinitaly, a record number of participants are expected, among which visitors, exhibitors, and buyers - importers, distributors, and their associations coming from Europe, but also from all over the world - from the USA, Central and South America, Africa, and Asia.

"It is up to us to promote this fair in the world and to create as many new deals as possible. We will talk with the world's largest buyers in order to bring them to Belgrade and make it a place where good jobs are made for winemakers," said the president of CCIS.
