The Sustainable Development Forum (SDF), in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) and Cambridge Judge Business School, is organizing the SDF Belgrade 2026 conference on 26 and 27 November, “Europe’s Next Chapter: Competitiveness – Supply Chains – Innovation”.
The forum will bring together representatives of the business community, academia, international institutions, the financial sector and the diplomatic corps to discuss the future of European competitiveness and Serbia’s position in a changing economic landscape.
Geopolitical fragmentation, shifts in global trade, energy costs, pressure on natural resources and the rapid development of artificial intelligence are transforming how companies operate and how countries shape their industrial policies. The programme will focus on productivity and innovation, supply chain resilience, energy security, financing industrial transformation and more efficient resource use.
Particular attention will be given to Serbia and the Western Balkans. The region’s integration into the European market and industrial value chains raises the question of how domestic businesses can develop higher value-added activities, increase productivity and strengthen their competitiveness.
The forum builds on SDF Cambridge 2026, held in May at Cambridge Judge Business School, where circularity and sustainability were explored as drivers of economic growth. In Belgrade, these discussions will be linked to Serbia’s specific industrial and investment challenges.
One of the key programme segments will be the “Circular Competitiveness in Serbia” initiative, which explores opportunities to improve resource productivity, develop circular business models, foster innovation and drive industrial transformation. The aim is to connect international debate with practical recommendations for the Serbian business community.
The programme is scheduled for 26 and 27 November. The first day will be dedicated to accompanying activities and networking among participants, while the main conference programme will take place on 27 November.
