The Specialized Exhibition EXPO Belgrade 2027 will bring ten times more benefit to Serbia than the income itself because, in addition to the employed construction operatives and tourism capacities, foreign investors and future business partners of domestic companies will come and create new businesses together, and this is an opportunity for our country that does not have a price, said Marko Čadež, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS).
He outlined that the main gain for Serbia, as the future organizer of the "Expo", is not only the planned income from visits and consumption that will be realized during the three months of this manifestation in Belgrade but "The real value of this event is the companies that will come and invest in Serbia and our companies that will create new businesses - that chance has no price. It is something that will remain forever," Čadež pointed out, stating that numerous international companies are already announcing their arrival in Belgrade in 2027 at the Expo.
When it comes to just one segment of the organization and infrastructural equipment of this world exhibition, Čadež cites as an example that there are currently 170,000 employed workers in the construction sector in Serbia. "Imagine what this means for them, how many new jobs there will be," said Čadež.
He thanked the team of the President of the Republic of Serbia, the Prime Minister’s team, relevant ministries, institutions of the City of Belgrade, and the Belgrade Fair, which, as he said, had faith for a year and a half and showed that not only Serbia can be side by side with the United States of America or Spain, but that it can surpass them and become the host of this prestigious world event.
"By working together on the candidacy, we showed that as a city and a country, we are a region of winners and success, not a region of problems," said the President of CCIS.
Čadež explained that Serbia has a lot of work to do in the organization of the exhibition and reminded that he already spoke with the new president of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Ali Rashid Lutah, and agreed on the strategic and technical support of this association in the organization of the Belgrade Exhibition in 2027, considering that the Dubai Chamber of Commerce had an important role in the organization of EXPO Dubai 2020.
