The safety of food supplies is the most important topic in the world today and the change of the entire value system in food production is a key issue. This is why it is necessary to have a dialogue between traditional industries and the innovative community that Serbia has among the best in Europe, said Marko Čadež, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia at the opening of the Grow UP Conference that gathered more than 300 participants and 30 experts in Kopaonik, to discuss key topics in the world of agribusiness over the course of two days!

Čadež said that it was very important that people gathered today to discuss the security of the food supply. He pointed out that there was a great desire to establish a dialogue between the traditional industry and the innovative community that really exists in our country. "It is not just a question of whether we will change, and how we will produce in the future, the real question is how we will change the entire system of value creation in agriculture and food production, in such a way that we can really be at the top of Europe and the world," he said, adding that he was extremely glad that representatives of more than 150 companies, agricultural producers, processors, as well as numerous experts were present at the conference.

Minister of Agriculture Jelena Tanasković pointed out that she was satisfied with the fact that Serbia's agriculture can be presented through a digital framework and that agriculture is the foundation and basis of our society and our growth.
"Since I took over the Ministry of Agriculture, I have faced a huge challenge. We realized that we have to react urgently and quickly implementing full transformation and digitalization of agriculture in Serbia. The team of the Ministry of Agriculture has accepted the challenge and is working tirelessly on it," explained the minister.

Minister of Information and Telecommunications Mihailo Jovanović pointed out that this year we have witnessed digitalization assisting the transformation of agriculture.
"The Ministry of Agriculture has introduced the eAgrar system, which will help our farmers to efficiently and transparently submit requests and communicate with the Ministry of Agriculture through the portal. This will help the ministry itself resolve all requests much more efficiently," explained Jovanović.
The attendees will be addressed during the two-day conference by domestic and foreign eminent scientists and professors, the highest officials of the Government of Serbia, ministers from the region, including Republika Srpska, Montenegro, North Macedonia, representatives of international institutions, the European Union, public companies, as well as the business community.
