The EU Week of Opportunities, a unique series of events that will last until June 26, began in Belgrade today. The Week of Opportunities is organized in partnership with the EU Delegation in Serbia and the Government of Serbia, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and 50 other institutions and partners. With a series of events, apart from Belgrade, this manifestation will also be held in Niš and Novi Sad.

The Minister for European Integration Tanja Miščević and the Head of the EU Delegation in Belgrade, Emanuele Giofrette, signed at the beginning of the European Week of Opportunities the Agreement on new donations through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance in the amount of 200 million euros, out of which the EU grant is 162 million euros.

"Serbia's accession to the EU is a strategic plan that is equally important for Serbia and the European community. The EU made a strategic choice when it started negotiations on the accession of Serbia," European Commissioner for Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi said in an online address, which was greeted by those present at the beginning of the event in Belgrade's MTS hall.

On the first day of the event, the "Integration in Practice: Experiences of EU companies in Serbia and Serbian companies on the EU Market" Panel was held. "The challenges we are facing now will require assistance from the European Union because the current issues and problems are much more complex than they were in some previous situations, where their solution was mainly reduced to procedures and harmonization of tax incentives," said Milun Trivunac, Advisor to the President of CCIS at the panel.
