The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, the largest business association in Serbia, fully supports the Ukraine – South East Europe Summit Declaration, which was adopted by the political leaders of Southeast Europe and the Western Balkans.
The economy of Serbia is ready to help the post-war reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine in every possible way and contribute to the return to normal life for the citizens of this country.
The presidents of the Chambers of Commerce of Serbia and Ukraine, Marko Chadež and Gennadiy Chyzhykov, on the day marking two years since the start of the war in Ukraine, signed a joint statement stating that the two chambers, "will use their experience and expertise to help, in the best way possible, and together with international allies, Ukraine in post-war reconstruction process“.
"In these challenging times, solidarity emerges as our most powerful ally, and our Chambers proudly demonstrate this through continuous cooperation, strengthening both personal and business ties. Serbia and Ukraine aspire to membership in the EU and recognize it as a potential for deepening the ties between our societies", states, among other things, the joint statement of the two chamber’s presidents.
Companies from Serbia participated in all humanitarian actions where aid was collected for the people of Ukraine. Good cooperation between the economies of Serbia and Ukraine was also strengthened by the signing of the Memorandum on Cooperation between the chambers of commerce of the two countries which was signed last November. Signing was followed by a business forum which was held in Belgrade, where a large number of companies from Serbia and Ukraine participated.
