Successful Presentation of Women Entrepreneurship from Serbia at Expo 2020 Dubai

Strengthening women entrepreneurship, good economic results even in the most difficult times of the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as the successful performance of Serbian companies at the largest World Exhibition in Dubai, are the result of exceptional commitment and support of the Government of Serbia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, stated Darija Kisić Tepavčević, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs during the visit of the World Exhibition in Dubai, where more than 100 female entrepreneurs participated at the thematic week " Global Goals".

"It is an honor and privilege to visit the Serbian Business Hub, along with our successful entrepreneurs who presented their knowledge, creativity, innovation to the world at Expo 2020 Dubai" pointed out the Minister who became an honorary member of the Section for Women Entrepreneurship of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC).

Branislava Simanić, Director of the CCIS Entrepreneurial Division, reminded that more than 120 Serbian entrepreneurs successfully presented themselves in Dubai.  She stated that women's entrepreneurship in Serbia is a strong economic resource and potential, and a sign of the vitality of the whole economy. CCIS provides support to all activities of our ladies who run successful businesses, as well as those who plan to start up companies, adds Simanić.

According to figures, the Serbian economy has had a very noticeable performance at "Expo 2020 Dubai". Since the beginning of the exhibition on October 1st, 2021, more than 100 delegations visited the World Exhibition and had successful meetings and presentations with local and international partners organized in the Serbian Business Hub and Serbian Pavillion.

More than 800 businessmen from Serbia have visited the World Exhibition so far, with the support of the Government of Serbia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. It is expected that by the end of March, this number will exceed 1,000. The hub is the first address for businessmen from Serbia when they visit Expo, where they get information and important data about doing business in the UAE and Middle East markets.
