The summit of the leaders of the Western Balkans and the EU in Kotor is an excellent opportunity to discuss the urgent inclusion of the economies of our region in the single European market and overcoming serious barriers such as the huge waiting times for our trucks at the borders of the Union, said today Marko Čadež, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.

"The business community of the Western Balkans represents and wants to see the implementation of the new growth plan as soon as possible so that we can bring our economy into the single market as efficiently as possible, reduce business costs and operate according to the same principles and conditions as EU members." First, a single market that will eliminate additional costs for exporting goods and waiting at the borders, and then further steps towards membership," said Čadež, at the Serbian National Morning Show.

He reminded that in the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, there were also proposals and requests from the region's economies, to implement phased steps towards the EU so that companies could operate according to the same principles and conditions as those in the EU.
The President of the CCIS notes that there is good cooperation of economies within the region and that the waiting time at the borders has decreased, but that the waiting time at the borders with the EU is terrifying, which is a huge problem that needs to be solved as soon as possible.

He indicated that the goal is to involve as many domestic companies as possible in large projects such as Expo 2027 and "Leap into the Future" and that the prime minister also discussed creating some kind of database or registry of our companies and their services and products. "Now is the opportunity for our companies from almost all sectors to be introduced to these gigantic projects," said Čadež.

Speaking about the use of artificial intelligence in business, he remanded that CCIS  was the first to launch a series of services that use artificial intelligence and greatly facilitate business operations.
CCIS gathered a team of very good programmers and experts, we constantly introduced new services, and even today we present a new platform and database based on artificial intelligence for small and medium-sized enterprises, added Čadež.
In the coming days and weeks, he announced intensive international activities, starting with the participation of about 80 companies at prestigious fairs in Riyadh, London, and Amsterdam, as well as the organization of business forums in Ljubljana and Trieste until the visit of our IT delegation to Japan on June 2nd.
