Starting from tomorrow, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia will form a special Crisis Response Team and open a Call Center for urgent problem solving of the business community and economic consequences caused by the Ukraine crisis, announced Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia at tonight's Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur of the Year Award ceremony.
Čadež thanked the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, for inviting representatives of the economy and companies to discuss on Monday, 28th February, the current situation and what can be done - to make a Crisis Response Team that will monitor the upcoming events and assist companies that need to buy, pay, import or export something from the region affected by the crisis, as well as all other who will feel the effects of it.
My tonight's address in front of more than 250 leaders of the Serbian entrepreneurship community urge us, as the association of Serbian economy to help, not only you who export to the Ukrainian market, but also other companies that will not be spared the impact of this crisis, both directly and indirectly, as well as economic implications which are yet to come. This is evidenced by energy prices, which have risen more than 40 percent today, and the opening of many other business issues.
"Today, we have agreed with the representatives of the Chambers of Commerce of Austria, Germany and Luxembourg and the President of Eurochambers, to make crisis telephone calls every morning in order to find the most efficient solutions to support our companies," Čadež said.
By giving the best EY fast-growing entrepreneur of the year award to the company Quantox technology – represented by Vuk Popović and Filip Karaičić, the President of CCIS said that courage comes from people who do business, create, work, as well as from their perseverance, creativity and leadership which shows that even, in the most difficult times, their ideas can be realized and their jobs can be done.
