At a special panel dedicated to the Belgrade EXPO 2027 exhibition held at the Kopaonik Business Forum (KBF), the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Marko Čadež, pointed out that EXPO is a huge opportunity for almost all sectors of the Serbian economy, but also for young people and students.
We are talking about a large investment of around 17 to 18 billion euros, and this is a great opportunity for Serbian companies that should already be preparing and organizing ways to take part in this project. "Now is the time to start preparations and for companies to work on defining which services are necessary, and with whom to partner and what jobs to contract. We want to talk to them about this and that's why we use this platform to introduce people to the EXPO plan and maybe talk about some ideas," Čadež told Tanjug.
In his words, all sectors could get involved in the realization of this big project.
"There is practically no sector that cannot be engaged, tourism, IT, so everything is connected and that is what Belgrade EXPO 2027 brings. It represents the future for Serbia, and in that period, it will be the center of the world," said Čadež.
He added that Serbia wants to be a good host for three months, but also to attract as many companies and people as possible, who may have never been to this part of the world. "We are talking about the country's reputation... What is important, is what remains after this exhibition," added Čadež.
EXPO 2027, Čadež pointed out, offers great opportunities to young people and students in this part of Europe. If you look at "Ex-Yu" - Belgrade, Zagreb, Skopje, Budapest – at a distance of four hours by car or less, there are 22 university centers. None of our competitors could offer that - hundreds of thousands of students can go on exchange, see something new, and exchange ideas. All young people will gravitate during the exhibition and build some of their own stories afterward, said Čadež.
