Artificial intelligence has enormous potential and possibilities of application in the economy, it is not a question of what it can do, but how to find the best connection between human and artificial intelligence to be used in the creation of new products and services, said Marko Čadež, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) today opening the conference dedicated to the promotion of digital solutions in traditional industries. As he pointed out there are positive trends in this area, however, artificial intelligence is underused for innovation and the creation of added values in production and services. He added that the priority of CCIS is to promote the application of artificial intelligence in various sectors.

„ CCIS plans to increase the number of companies that will support and undergo the process of digital transformation so that they can use solutions based on artificial intelligence. Our goal is to make our Center for Digital Transformation a hub for networking of domestic IT companies that offer solutions for challenges and business improvement of companies from traditional industries," said the president of the chamber.

He reminded us that 60 percent of managers believe that the application of artificial intelligence is important, 17 percent of them claim that AI solutions are applied in the industries, while only four percent of experts in this field think that AI solutions are actually used in the industries. He stated that some banks and companies are using artificial intelligence to improve their services, but that this should be only the beginning.

According to Čadež, the credits go to the prime minister of Serbia who personally promoted the importance of the topics related to digital transformation and cutting-edge technologies.

Every other job that has been opened in the past year is in IT, and the export of this sector will exceed 2.5 billion euros in 2022, with a surplus of more than 1.5 billion euros, pointed out the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić.

She emphasized that the application of artificial intelligence is extremely important for the future and competitiveness of the Serbian economy and can contribute to increasing salaries and pensions while creating added value. "The priority will be the application of artificial intelligence and we will work with micro, small and medium enterprises to use that intelligence to increase productivity," said Brnabić.

The conference in CCIS gathered all 200 IT experts, representatives, and traditional industries. The meeting was organized by the Center for Digital Transformation of CCIS with the support of the Government of Serbia. At the thematic panels, domestic innovative companies presented their solutions already applied and implemented in businesses and which are based on artificial intelligence.
