At the 2nd International Consumer Goods Trade Fair of the PR China and the Central and Eastern Europe (CEEC) in Ningbo, within the National Pavilion, 18 companies from Serbia presented their products – including wines and beverages, organic products, jams and spreads, dried fruit, dietary supplements, edible oils, and pet food and cosmetic products.
The Trade Fair will last until 11 June, and the promotion of the production and export potential of Serbia is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) and the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
In spite of the difficult conditions due to the COVID 19 pandemic, and the fact that participation of company representatives is not possible, the Chinese partners have the opportunity to learn about the products and tastes of Serbia, said Jelena Grubor Stefanović, Director of the CCIS Representative Office in the PR China.
CEEC Expo consists of three segments: the exhibition of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, international exhibition of consumer goods and permanent exhibition of imported products. It is held on the area of 200,000 square meters, with 2,000 exhibitors and more than 6,000 business partners and customers.
With the aim to improve the trade and economic cooperation of China and 17 countries of the Central and Eastern Europe, the Government of the PR China designated the City of Ningbo as the platform for the promotion of commodity trade and economic cooperation in almost all sectors of the economy. The City of Ningbo intends to import goods in the value of USD 10 billion from the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe, which is a big opportunity for the companies from Serbia, said Grubor Stefanović.
The Embassy of Serbia in the PR China, Consulate General in Shanghai, in cooperation with the CCIS Representative Office in the PR China, participated jointly in all accompanying events organized within the framework of this big international gathering.
We believe that, with our joint efforts, we will manage to present numerous high quality Serbian products on the market of the PR China, and that they will become the choice of the Chinese consumers when buying, said Grubor Stefanović.
