Čadež: A Free Trade Agreement With The UAE Expected By The End Of The Year

Marko Čadež, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, announced that the signing of the free trade agreement between Serbia and the United Arab Emirates and the organization of a large Business Forum in Belgrade is expected by the end of this year.

After a meeting with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, in Abu Dhabi, Čadež said that the second round of negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement will be held by the end of October.
"That agreement, which is being prepared by the two governments, will be a framework, and it is up to the businessmen to fill it with new jobs", said Čadež and added that Minister Al Zeyoudi will lead the largest economic delegation of the UAE in a visit to Serbia, which will participate in the business forum.
Together with the chambers of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as with the UAE Investors Council, we are participating in the organization of this business forum, with the aim of boosting economic relations between Serbia, the Western Balkans region, and the UAE with new projects, Čadež said.
Earlier today, the President of CCIS also met with the Secretary General of the UAE International Council of Investors Jamal Bin Saif Al Jarwan, with whom he discussed investment opportunities in Serbia and the region, especially in the sector of information technology, innovation, and innovative healthcare.
Čadež presented the Bio Sense Institute and the Bio4 Campus project, which, as he pointed out, is one of the most interesting in the field of biotechnology
As he emphasized, the UAE Investors Council, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the Western Balkans Chamber Investment Forum, could become a new hub for future investments and projects in the region.
The Secretary General of the International Council of Investors, Al Jarvan, expressed his great satisfaction with the constructive conversation both with the delegation from Serbia and the President of the CCIS and announced a series of joint activities to strengthen ties.
During his multi-day working visit to the UAE, Čadež will visit the National Stand of Serbia at the largest technology fair in the world, "Gitex Global 2023", where 11 Serbian companies are participating.
