serbia’s bilateral economic relations with the world
In keeping with the drive to internationalize Serbian economy, bilateral economic cooperation efforts are focused on boosting the country’s economic development, increasing exports and foreign direct investment, strengthening the competitiveness of Serbian economy and entrepreneurship development, as well as on promoting Serbia’s business climate.
In this context, activities pertaining to bilateral economic cooperation include in particular:
- Provision of relevant information to foreign business communities concerning business opportunities in the Serbian market;
- Intermediation in the establishment of business contact between interested partners;
- Organising business delegations, business meetings, and negotiations in the country and abroad;
- Organising thematic seminars, lectures, and conferences to introduce Serbian businesses to foreign markets;
- Replying to individual inquiries by foreign businesses
In the interest of its members, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia has signed more than 80 cooperation agreements with the chambers of more than 70 countries worldwide. These cooperation agreements seek to reinforce economic, technological and cultural bilateral relations, which for CCIS members will facilitate the establishment of business contacts with businesses in a particular country, finding potential partners for commerce and economic, industrial and scientific and technological cooperation and keeping abreast of current business developments.
